Let me tell you about....the Spirit of Oklahoma Storytelling Festival.
The 9th annual Spirit of Oklahoma Storytelling Festival concluded Saturday, June 13, 2015 and already plans are being made for the grand celebration of a decade of festivals sponsored by the state's storytelling organization, The Territory Tellers.
Moving to Bethany, Oklahoma, and the lovely campus of SNU, in 2013 the festival is one of an artistic trifecta of storytelling festivals in Oklahoma. The development of a story event in Tulsa in the early spring (usually around April), the Bethany event (2nd weekend of June) and the OKC Storytelling Festival at the History Center (Aug 27-28, 2015), combined with the annual November celebrations of storytelling via the 'Tellabration', and growing urban 'Story Slams', the Oklahoma landscape is seeded with tremendous potential for both youth and adults!
